my day in school...

spent an extremely fruitful day in school mugging..
felt soooo nostalgic walking ard school today, with the banners and all up.. watching the 24ths prep for open house. i have resolved to go this friday to bask in the openhse atmosphere once again! haha. its interesting how as i walk around, thinking stuff like how come the ccas havent started the boards already, why isnt the rest of the school helping out.. etcetc then i remember that this isnt our openhse 2003 anymore.. haha its the 24ths' turn... and i should learn to let go... :)

but felt really good when i saw how they reused many of our old ideas, like the cca placements in the spexgal, the floormap in the concourse, the central platform in the hall (my brainchild!), the banner over the concourse (adapted from wenkien's netting thing) etcetcetc... and it was amazing how they improvised summore! haha the 24ths have a lot of artists there, like my buddy :), and they have beautiful shower curtains painted with hibiscus and the location name.. so u'll never ever miss where the canteen is or whatever... wow...

kodak moment.. walking across the concourse, listening to the choir acapella grp rehearse... and just as they started a beautiful, absolutely beautiful rendition of the school anthem, i saw mr hodge outside the office, smiled at him, he smiled back... turned and suddenly saw wenkien (and claire *wink*) who looked equally surprised to see bth of us there at that instant too.. haha.. then memories of all the prepping, planning, seeing mr hodge etcetc just came flooding back.. heh..

one thing im really glad for is that the 24ths dint get so much problems from the admin as we did last time... and well they're taking this really well, at a good pace.. like shawn and karen definitely do not seem as tired or burnt out as all of us were last year... esp the comm heh... i'm happy for them :)
i miss open house haha....
