hmm seems like i havent quite been blogging for awhile. lala.. been caught up doing stuff... studying for my basic theory test tt was early this mornin (yes on the morning of xmas eve bleah), making a present, sitting down psychoing myself to clear up my room (which looks like a pig sty cos i emptied all my drawers and cupboards looking for my ic on sunday) but havent succeeded; but i will have to, cos tmr got visitors bleah.
was just reading zhu's blog about mango sales, and hahahahha can't help but laughing and feeling inclined to agree. well i was just at the suntec branch with my mum, and even on xmas eve night, its a madhouse of women with one aim: to find cheap and nice clothes. hahaha. and all around, you see bored, idle men standing ard waiting for their wives, girlfriends, or in the case of my dad, his wife and daughter! hahaha. some even guai guai follow their gfs around carrying the stuff they find, whilst the gf grabs, scrutinises style, cut, size and price, then dumps it onto the guy's already huge pile of clothes in his arms. wow.
so anyhow, i managed to get 2 tops... yeah after trying on maybe 7items muahaha. there was this skirt i liked alot, but hi, it was almost seethrough in the light pls. i wonder why the hell they make nice cut skirts with such thin cloth! madness. ohwellz.
merry merry merry christmas!!! barely celebrating xmas, but relatives coming tmr for dinner (rather, rushing through my hse for a looksee then dinner, b4 running off to see xmas lights in orchard).. but at least i got stuff to look forward to on sunday! yay! hahaha.
haiz. why don't i ever get to celebrate xmas the way its meant to be celebrated? it used to be that mum wld prepare a nice meal with ham and everything on xmas eve dinner just for my small family. then as the years went by, it became like "too expensive", "no point", "lets just not celebrate"... so liddat. not that i disagree with them, but ohwell. we cldnt even be bothered to prep presents for each other and stuff.
hence, so sorry if i dint send out xmas cards this year. zero xmas mood in my house here, is it christmas really? *hmph* :(
merry xmas to everyone still tho! love you all! and pls remember to ENJOY xmas. yes.

grrr...
this is really scarifying (if there even is such a word) haha. everyone in the world is doing hospital attachments. woohoo. everyone wants to be a doctor. my grandma is the only one turning up her nose at me wanting to do medcine. she's like "5/6 years? you're mad. what about you getting married and having children?" she's mad. coming from the woman who wanted me to get married next year. yeah. she wants me to be a teacher. if i dint already fervently deperately want to be a doc, i might really actually consider that profession. but now? no. haha.

I'm back!
haha alright, this is slightly slow. today is tuesday, i got back on sunday :)
had a fantastic trip to msia, ie KL and penang, visiting relatives, eating to my heart's content, shopping, sleeping, swimming at noon it a super hot sunny beachside pool, and watching dvds (5 of them) on my ahma's dvd player. no wonder i'm obese like a pig now. muahahahahaha.
i lurve the food frm penang. can i say that again? i luuuuurve penang hawker food! i can proudly declare myself an almost-penangnite already! yay! cos been there so much that i know my way around all those convoluted complicated streets, and more importantly, know where to get the best food from! yay! like char kuay teow from lorong selamat/macalister road, the most delicious softest and smoothest chee cheong fun from lorong selamat, crispy yet not too oily prawn fritters frm kek seng coffeeshop, kuay kak from kuantan road, indian mee from bangkok lane, the warmest and most satisfying ever almond milk w you tiao (ie hengjin cha in hokkien), muah chee from this stall in gurney drive, nice fruity rojak, penang hokkien mee (prawn mee) from kuantan road, apom kueh from this stall opposite him heang, etcetcetc... gosh. exciting there. all these and more are churning around in my tummy. hahaha yay!
and i know what im going to do next year. FINALLY yay! instead of working, haha i'm going back to school (collective sigh...). taking life sciences modules (biodiversity, molecular genetics and molecular biology) in NUS. as part of this 'post jc non graduating students programme' that i was invited to take part in, which is basically just u help them fill up the excess spaces in certain modules by attending classes and taking exams with the NUS first years in their 2nd semester, and accumulate credits that are useful for future degrees anywhere, and at the same time they hope to attract you to NUS science fac. yeps. my modules are 3days a week, so i get time to do crap too! yay.
after i escape frm exams, i throw myself back in again. how smart.
the guy just called to tell me a 'secret' that i'll almost def get my choices even tho they havent balloted yet. very smart (and sneaky). exciting.
classes start jan10.
registered for driving classes already, if all goes well, i shld be able to take my test in march/april. yepz. basic theory this friday grrr...
my stint at assisi is working out fine... :)
interestingly i have dsta interview but i dint apply...
british council ppl please answer my call? i desperately need to schedule my QM intervew!!!
ok and i need malay lessons. anyone knows where?
shld i take dance classes (mtv/hiphop kind) with shiyun and sarah?
yay my life is organised. now if only i knew what will happen come july/august/sept haiz.
16 days till NS for all my guy friends... where is everyone anw? dun see them around/online at all!

blessed and loved...
yep that's what i really feel right now :)
had a fantastic class chalet yest and the day before... kaiwei and nick really outdid themselves this time... or maybe perhaps its juz that its post As, then everyone's as free as a lark, so we all can finally be bothered to come down.. heh. so anw, nick rented this big and nice bungalow at the NSRCC for us, and well i was impressed by the facilities, with pool, billards, bball courts, tennis courts, etcetcetc... and we cld even walk to the nearby seasports centre to do seasports if we so wished... learnt how to play mahjong again, still am not very good at it and will do stupid things like not knowing i've won when i already won... and err make wrong calls and stuff like that, but ohwellz, quite fun larhz heh...
went kayaking with them yest too! really really fun! zhiyin n i shared this nice purple kayak and all of us went rowing about in the sea... double kayaks chase single kayaks, huiling, zhiyin and i having this idea to kayak to our bungalow... then having a great time rowing towards there, and a terrible time rowing back to rejoin the grp cos we were against the current... trying to capsize alex, shengxiang, nick and daryl capsizing themselves... really really fun! haha...
and the bbq last night... what a typical assumption of gender roles! cos like the girls like daryl, yingzhi, jiahui, peirong and i were like in the kitchen marinating stuff... (putting ingredients into the food no one really wants to know its there :P), and the guys were initially playing mahjong outside, then did stuff like starting the fire and trying to cook, albeit without really knowing how to tell whether the food was cooked. muahahaha. funny pls... we spread honey and margarine on every single food item, which made them vvv nice, and i stood at the bbq pit for like half hr trying to roast 2 sticks of marshmellows that just wouldn't become crispy! gah. haha. loved the entire thing...
will miss my classmates and all the funny stupid silly jokes that always happen to us... like shengxiang and daryl were practically revising at the bbqpit, what with application of tessellations in arranging the food on the grill (then ginway saying, what tessellations? called maximising of space since our fire is so lousy), ivan's theory about the electric fan and the fire, and everything else... :)
and i'm going to msia tmr...KL and penang, to eat, shop, get fat, and visit relatives... wunt be back till next sunday yepz...

grad nite!
grad nite was fantastic!
to the 24ths who slogged so hard prepping for this night, thankyou! i loved the entire thing except for 2 things: 1. not a good idea to serve prawns to people who're trying not to get themselves and their fingers dirty peeling oatmeal covered prawns. nevertheless, that dish was nice =), and 2. also not a good idea to switch off all the lights suddenly at the end of the event cos there was a mad scramble for everyone to look for all their stuff and leave the place yepz.
well it was pretty much similar to sec4 grad nite, except for the very obvious presence of guys who're trying too hard to tell you how beautiful you look hahahaha. its quite funny cos everywhere i went, there were guys trying to tell just about every other girl how pretty she was, and well there's only so many synonyms for 'pretty' and 'beautiful' right? hahaha. its like samuel was telling selene and me, "the world would be a much better place if both of you looked like this everyday"... haha sweet, but i tend to disagree. the world would be a much worser place, cos for all the girls to look like that everyday would take a tremendous amount of time and money. which are luxuries that no one really can claim to have. besides, who has the energy to put on makeup everyday? gah. haha.
nevertheless, it was fantastic... everyone looked great! (both guys and girls.. i'm fair okay) and it was definitely refreshing to see everyone so spiffy and glammed up! haha. yay. people like baorong, selene, pam, celene, shu, yunlei, emily, etcetcetcetcetcetcetc were truly gorgeous, and well serjin and qiantai, if you ever see this, i love both your new haircuts! yay! haha...
and huiling and fiona, thanks for being my roommates... it was truly fun dressing up and everything with you two... and well u guys just made the event so beautifully memorable... and selene, appreciated spending the time with you, confiding and stuff too! yay! :)
and well, naturally some things can't be said on a public blog, but yeah... i thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the before, during and after gradnite, on sunday and monday!
yes and i really think that the only bummer of the entire event is the unfortunate quality of my digital camera, that captures everything super dark, and cyan-ish... which meant like a whole night and morning of photo editing for me yesterday and today... gah. but finally i'm done! and uploaded my photos online! well as usual there's those i look obese in, and some i think i look alright in haha... yepz.

in a flash...
woohoo! in a flash, gradnite's TMRW!!!!! yay!
haha. months back i dint really have much to look forward to for gradnite, like ok lor, i guess it wld be fun, get dress and stuff, and hopefully spend some time with my frens. but recently, it has just struck me how it's really sthg i can look forward to, and is potentially a night with nice memories! =)
and that's like due to various reasons larh... cos like before, i knew i prob cldn't spend it with my beloved di, yun, sarah and si... cos since we all came to rj we have had different frens and everything, and i guess afterall grad nite is a night to remember ur jc frens... and well, during prelims and As, sel and i drifted apart somewhat, prob cos we dint really manage to spend time together to catch up and stuff... and i wasn't close to my classmates, but prob the councillors, and sad thing was that all the councillors chose to spend gradnite with their classes, and i'm hardly close to mine.
but well, that has all become much better. its like woah, the end of As is really the turning pt man.. heh. like i'm definitely much more sure that yun, di, sarah and si are ppl whom i can count on being close frens with still decades down the road, and sel and i have become much closer, and well as for classmates, there's people like huiling, and for a bonus, fiona (frm my sec2 clique) too! haha. and well, of course there's you too larh. yepz.
so yeah. i have so much to look forward to! hee =) life is good. life's been good since post As. =) muahaha. now to go pack for tmr properly! haha.

yay not pai kia!
haha my parents convinced me during dinner that i do not look like a pai kia! yay! preconceived notions of students with coloured hair being pai kias cos of all the instances with discipline masters/mistresses chasing after recalcitrant kids who colour their hair during hols. heh. what i need is a attitude adjustment that i'm not in school anymore! (woah... now that will take alot of getting used to...) like my parents kept telling me to get a job and learn driving and learn malay and get started on everything i wanted to do after As... and i have to carefully tell them that i actually do need a holiday... like if i started working and everything now, i'd have lost even the normal dec hols that one usually gets every year which is absolutely not fair to me.... and this year was particularly long, hard and tiring! like hey.... As just ended 3 days ago leh...

different??
hmmm. i feel like a whole new person since post-As. i LOOK like a different person since after As. woke up this morning and looked into the mirror and hardly recognised myself... with like brown streaky "pai-kia" hair according to shu, and neater brows cos sel dragged me w her to do threading yesterday that was actually qt painful *ouch*... and i feel like a different person too... (mostly thanks to you, u know who u are...) yepz. =)
finally got all my gradnite stuff.. spent $160 on everything... hmmz..yay! thanks to yun and sarah for shopping for dress w me, selene for everything else, n don for going w me to do my hair! yay!
and farewell last night was fantastically sweet and fun! watching idol, the 5 24ths rapping the buddy rap really funnily, john and qiantai singing... (aww so sweet!) and the surprise new 23rd couple! whee! hahahah yay! (shhh im not telling who they are.. :P) and jonathan, thanks for ur chocs! i was naughty last nite tt even tho i was sick and all, i ate ONE. and it gave me a painful throat (retribution). so i will wait till i'm well to eat the rest k? thankyew! =)
