woke up this morning, slightly sicker than i was before... what started out as a mild, occasional cough, that i thot transpired from my unpacking of tremendously dusty boxes, has evolved into a full fledged rasping cough. haha was it the 2 pcs of hazelnut choc i ate last night? hmmms... but anyhows, so i decided to take this last weekday of official holidays off and stay at home, reveling in the joys of home comforts before i move to pgp. haha. except it wldnt be much diff than pgp, cos with the renovation im basically tied to the bed, and my daily activities carried out here. hahaha. the difference: food within reach, anytime. and i dont have to pay an extra dime for it! haha...

i think my body is protesting against going back to the routine of daily school. sighs.

ok i decided i will post photos from my HK trip heh. =)

this is the wonderful teh-ping i found at this nook and cranny coffeeshop there... wonderfully thick and aromatic, and the best part of it was, because they freeze teh-ping cubes and add it into the drink too, the drink never gets diluted as the ice melts. =) hooray for good teh-ping!!!

*rasping cough*.. excuse me..

the newspaper clippings plastered over the entrance of the coffeeshop, that drew me to it... it was totally covered by market stalls outside lor.. mad haha... hk ppl arent modest are they..

my favourite! egg tarts! these were mini egg tarts, the shell was crisp and savoury, the egg filling was creamy and warm... and not too sweet.. totally heavenly lor. i swooned when i first ate it haha... this was another accidental find actually... went back the next day, and the shop was unfortunately closed because it was jul 1st, public hol for the historic HK takeover by China.

a fascinating traditional HK tea shop where dad and i had delicious dimsum.. the waiters were all old, and none of them spoke chinese. only cantonese. and they push the food ard in carts and u pick and choose whatever u want. haha.. so traditional and ancient, and tucked away in the back streets of Central. it wasnt that cheap tho.. dad and i ordered 6 baskets in total and it came up to abt S$40 bucks. yeah... didnt manage to take photos of the food tho.. i ate it too fast haha...

this is the shopping crowd on a friday larh. madness please... at causeway bay where many major shopping centres converge.

heh heh and on flight home, dad let me sit business class to try! haha im so lucky.. but that was cos dad was in HK for business, and i, pleasure, so we had one business (paid for by his company) and one economy (paid for by milleage pts for me) return tickets. and i nv tried before, so he insisted i try on the flight back... well, what can i say.. it was definitely comfortable, and service nice... u get served a TREMENDOUS lot of food on nice cutlery... all glass and china, none of those lousy plastic things. haha the next few pictures will show u the "lunch" they served...

a full course of appetiser consisting of salad and seared tuna, main course with rice and some nice fish i cant rem the name of, cheese platter ( im currently REALLY in love with the diff types of cheeses...), and they had an amazing assortment of fruits for us to choose from, but i was really too full to eat anymore.. oh yes and there was another dessert of mango shortcake, but i dint take a pic of that haha...

gosh this is like once in a lifetime for me, haha doubt i'll ever get the opportunity again, nor will i ask my dad to let me sit business when im w him too.. haha... i like economy tho, i think its cosier =) when there's no idiot in front of u who MUST recline fully, which irritates me to hell because my legs are so long and tend to get constricted and cannot move at all... but it always seems to happen. on planes i always get the seat behind a person who loves reclining fully. haha sighs. tough luck eh.

and the other things i've been up to:

meeting up with darling shuen who came to s'pore recently!

diane! and the coffee tarts we tried from crystal jade... which i didnt like too much...

coffee bean breakfast with lawrence =) haha
