the past week.

i am constantly finding new ways to be distracted from janeway (and robbins, katzung, levinson and other random things for that matter). from blog surfing, to msning, to simply lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling. but im still alive. yes. so here are random pictures from the past wk.

on my way to school on the incessantly clogged up ECP/AYE route. recently prettified for the IMF (for which roads have been blocked, jams have been exacerbated, and lin has been irked). wonderful effort. i have lots more pictures that i shant deign to upload. but it has certainly improved the quality of time spent waiting in the jam on the ECP. i love the east. havent i said that enough?

went to ikea for lunch w wenkien, wm and liyana for lunch. MEATBALLS! i wasnt the resident photowhore there. wenkien trashes me by about a hundred to one. check his blog out for pics. went to his place, and li and him came over aft that for some room-viewing. we have similar colour schemes in our bedrooms haha.

huge ass baking operation on wed afternoon. 4hs, 20+ trays, 160 korova cookies. HUGE backache. for a project sa'bai welcome tea that a grand total of 7 ppl turned up for. amazing m1 batch. i am constantly impressed by ur enthusiasm for all things non-examinable. haha. but they were readily snapped up by friends, most of whom came back for seconds. i wonder if i sold them, whether ppl wld buy. hms.

m2 neurosci lecture. a local anaesthesia video in which rabbits and toads were harmed in the making (toads were decapitated and degutted no less) was shown. lots of rile and disgust from all round. but clinically interesting definitely.

beanie and i in lecture. yes photowhoring DURING lect. but well the camera was out, and everyone was being v animated w the video. so.

bean with her interesting mag of pot bellied pigs. pigs with bellies that almost touch the floor, on leashes. cute! =) the pink ones w black patches are adorable but seem to be kept only by english farmer-sorts. wonder if they'll survive in sg.

and well i heard that this wk was the finals of rock star:supernova. dont know anything abt it except that cel and marcus has been raving about it ALOT ard me lately. here's marcus going "EVS!". only insiders wld know what the heck it means. haha. took me a LONG time to get it.

our gorgeous project sa'bai banner which we printed in cambodia all hung up in the science foyer! =)

after school today, wenkien, li and i trooped down to tampines to get his fish tank, choose fishes for him and eat lunch. i love malaysians. we tell interesting stories. even if he is a true blue one, and im just a phoney one whose ic says im one. that's cos im born in sg, for those not in the know. and i love liyana. =)

all in all its been an interesting week.

the race for medsoc elections is heating up. 3 teams. who'll be pres?? ouyang or hanboon. hmms. many many m2s running too! exciting race. if only it was THIS exciting last yr when i was in the elections comm. damn. haha.

my weekend. there's only the dreaded appt to the dentist's for orthodontics to look forward to. hooray. and planning to read ALOT of janeway. hope i dont vegetate in the realms of cytokines, prostaglandins, lymphocytes and the such.
