starlight cinema

thursday saw me having a wonderful lunch at menotti with my council buddy dennis. we caught up, and he spoke of his newfound passion for law. it was accompanied by wonderful pasta and desserts - and i had olive oil gelato!!! i was so excited over the olive oil gelato as i had previously read of it being served in this newyork restaurant and how good it is. and then, when i was in france, i had lovely olive oil and vanilla macaroons from Pierre Herme. I was extremely excited to try menotti's version of it, and suffice to say, it did not disappoint. =) it was savoury and sweet, yet with a bit of spicy aftertaste. yum! i shall go back there often to eat the gelato =)

hung ard raffles city for awhile, mugged a teenyweeny bit, then met the others for the nokia starlight cinema at the padang! =) the movie being shown then was "just like heaven" starring reese witherspoon. just like my kind of show =) romantic comedies rock my world =) there were beanbags, little chairs and cushions strewn about on the grass for people to take, and we koped a beanbag n a chair. mirri and i claimed the beanbag immediately! =) sterling kindly prepared a picnic, and we had great fun nuaing on his $2 tablecloth on the grass, eating chips, nachos w salsa, focaccia w brie, choc biscuits and chit chatting. for me? i just lay back on the beanbag and stared into the sky. the vast vast blue sky. it was wonderful =)

had a great time, and it was wonderful talking to jason, sterling, newman and mark, whom i dont usually hang out much with in school =)
