what to pack.. ohhh what to pack!

haha.. packing for trips is always an interesting chore.
first you decide which jacket you want to bring, esp for a short trip like this, bring 1 handy one enuff alr. so its like HMMM... the white one with the hood? the black guess one? the old blue one? etcetc.
then you go the the stuffy cupboard in my uncle's room where my mum hoards all the winter clothing - we have too much of those... and unload all the laundry bags stuffed full of woolies, thinner jkts, gloves, hats etc.
opening a plastic bag, you find about 10pairs of gloves... all black, some with trimming, some thinner some thicker.. etc. you choose the one you think u want to wear and keep the rest.
then comes the bag with the hats. my oh my... which to wear? the dark blue hat with purple trimming bought from france, or the purple round rim hat bought from france, or the black one with a pink heart bought from us? hahaha
then come sweaters. the blue wonderfully soft fleece one that's oversized, daddy's off white ashworth sweater that's also oversized, my purple reversible sweater from some budget store in us, my pink sweater from og, my pink sweater that's free, old green/white pretty sweaters, grey one with pink piping...etetcetc.mind boggling lors.
and the scarves. and the shoes. and the pants. and the shirts.

all in all an interesting activity, and i think that we have too many sweaters. but that comes from being able to share with mum, and alot of overseas winter trips, and cheap stores in europe and us that sell nice jkts and sweaters at really cheap prices (like sgd$30) kind of cheap.
word of advice: if you're going on a winter trip, u'd do better to get ur jkts and all from there, esp if its US, cos they have so much more selection, nicer quality, cheaper prices. much better than all that i can find in s'pore so far.

oh yes. and the last problem of all tt's the most problematic: fitting all them fluffy thick sweaters and jackets into ur small bag cos you want to *ahem* travel light.
